A little bit about us...

Sandvik Publishing was founded in Norway in 1965 by a new father who was looking for advice in raising his newborn baby. Since then our company has grown into a major publisher of children’s book clubs in Norway and throughout Western Europe. We entered the United States when we launched Baby’s First Book Club in 1992 and recently took over responsibility for Scholastic’s children’s book club business. Now, with such well known brands as Dr. Seuss, Disney, Baby Einstein and VeggieTales, Sandvik Publishing is the United States' largest operator of children’s' book clubs, offering programs for children from birth and to age 6.

Our mission is “Enriching Young Minds.”  We believe that:

• Literacy begins at birth, so it is never too early to start reading to your child.
• Parents should read with their children every day.
• Shared reading experiences between parents and their children are highly beneficial, enjoyable, and help foster important bonds.
• The programs we offer help parents select the right books at the right time because they are developmentally suited to the age of the child.
• Parents will read with their children more often if the right books are available, conveniently and affordably. That’s why we send books directly to our members’ homes. Most of our programs are affordably priced at around $15 per month for two or three books.
